Synopsis

Synopsis: In the romantic comedy film《Cornfield Showdown》, Cui Changhao and Sun Hongta are engaged in a fierce battle to retain their positions as village captain. It turns out that Cui Changhao had a romantic pact with Wang Yuxi: if he became captain, he would marry "Little Corn" (Wang Yuxi's nickname). Sun Hongta also likes Little Corn, leading to a series of dance-offs and live-streamed competitions between the two. Village chief Wang Liqun, unimpressed by their rivalry, is lured by the arrival of a cunning businessman, Shang Nanjing, who ostensibly uses the cornfield as land to build a welfare school, but in reality, he's using it to swindle land for a chemical plant. Wang Liqun, blinded by Shang Nanjing's hypocrisy and wealth, eagerly offers Little Corn to him. Disheartened, Cui Changhao, with the help of his friends, obtains evidence of Shang Nanjing's land fraud and exposes it. He then teams up with Sun Hongta to engage in a "battle" with Shang Nanjing's excavators in the cornfield, successfully protecting the land of Dacha Village and securing the position of captain.
